Fellowship of Unity Hill

Coming together is a great way for each of us to grow in our faith.

The Fellowship of Unity Hill began in 1960 as a way of young adults getting together and socializing.  It wasn’t until the Golden Hill Church in Bridgeport started feeding people on the street that Unity Hill got involved.  The Fellowship thought it would be a nice idea to help and that is exactly what we did.

A group of 3-4 people chopped, stirred, fried and/or baked a delicious meal while they had fun working together. The rest is history as we have been making and serving meals for over 50 years. Over the years we have also helped our church by putting on fundraisers to raise funds to buy an air conditioner for the hall.  This took a group of dedicated people to do this week after week.

We have a lot of fun with each other as we have parties at each other’s homes, and have bonded with each other for life.  Our children were raised together, and still remember the good times.  Every year we went to Cape Cod in September for a long weekend with the kids and that was always a wonderful time for everyone.

We keep in touch with those that are still with us as those friendships will always be special.
